Love Outside the Lines: 1 John 4:19  We love because He first loved us.

Jesus is our example for loving outside the lines. He changed water to wine. He brought the dead to life. He healed with the hem of His garment. He taught with questions. He prayed before He loved. He healed through faith. He broke bread with those He loved.
He washed feet.

He died on the cross with Love for You. Michael Card’s Song: “Why”

Michael Card
Why did it have to be a friend
Who chose to betray the Lord
Why did he use a kiss to show them
That’s not what a kiss is for
Only a friend can betray a friend
A stranger has nothing to gain
And only a friend comes close enough
To ever cause so much pain
And why did there have to be thorny
Crown pressed upon His head
It should have been the royal one
Made of jewels and gold instead
It had to be a crown of thorns
Because in this life that we live
For all who seek to love
A thorn is all the world has to give
And why did it have to be
A heavy cross He was made to bare
And why did they nail His feet and hands
His love would have held Him there
It was a cross for on a cross
A thief was supposed to pay
And Jesus had come into the world
To steal every heart away
Yes, Jesus had come into the world
To steal every heart away

  1. Great ideas! I love your table of happies. My daughter in law had to bring Evan in for an appointment. Dr.Bucky was telling us how you go all out. I’m glad you included the picture so I could see it for myself. I shouldn’t have been surprised by a woman who has a basket of blessings at her back door for visitors to choose from. You are one of a kind. The silver lining of having ALS is that I am blessed that our lives have crossed paths. Otherwise I would not have known what a wonderful child of God you are. Happy Valentine’s Day to a real “sweet” heart.

    • Hi Clydette, I”m glad you saw my hubby :). I live for an excuse to celebrate love. It goes way beyond “Hallmark” moments into His love for us and that is where I long to take it and off we go. . .Thank you for your gracious support. I needed to read it today. Being a teacher, you would relate to the “makings” within a theme. ..I know 🙂 Much love in Him, twe
