Language of the Light. . .Part I

08 High Noon

Read first and then click link and listen as you read the lyrics. . .As you are beginning to catch on to. . .about me is I have an affinity for Light. His Light. His Light for me. His Light for you. His Light for Eternity. Several Posts ago, I tried everything to load this song they played in our church for Easter Sunday. I could not load it, even after an hour, still tying. . .so wanting to bless you. And then a firm hand on my right shoulder, “Not yet, not here, not now.” So I left the song link off. . .And I woke today and heard. . .”After the darkness comes the Light. Here and Now, it’s the time and place. . .” What better timing, after the darkness and fear to bound through the “deep of the valley. . .bright!”

I believe we are called to linger in the Light and we tend to move on too soon, and do not hear all the language the Light is still speaking as we turn. . .So until, God turns His Rutter in this Blog, we will explore His Light that Easter illuminates, but it is a 24/7 reality, we just miss it. I miss it, you miss it, we miss it. Today we explore more Language of His Light through the gift of music. As I want to impart a conversational dynamic between us. . .If you were here with me right now, I would say to you, “These are the lyrics that speak life into me through this artist, and in this way I share my heart life in this moment with YOU :)” Since you cannot hear my heart voice, I’ll bold the lyrics as I listen with you so you experience my heart posture in our Lord as I let this song minister to me, with hopes it too, will minister and love on YOU. Amen

So I present to you, “High Noon” by Andrew Peterson in His Album, “Love and Thunder.”

Songwriters: PETERSON, ANDREW
High Noon
High noon in the valley of the shadow
When the deep of the valley was bright
When the mouth of the tomb
Shouted, “Glory, the Groom is alive”
So long, you wages of sin
Go on, don’t you come back again
I’ve been raised and redeemed
You’ve lost all your sting
To the victor of the battle
At high noon in the valley
In the valley of the shadow
Now the demons, they danced in the darkness
When that last ragged breath left his lungs
And they reveled and howled
At the war that they thought they had won
But then, in the dark of the grave
The stone rolled away
In the still of the dawn on the greatest of days
High noon in the valley of the shadow
When the shadows were shot through with light
When Jesus took in that breath
And shattered all Death with his life
So long, you wages of sin
Go on, don’t you come back again
I’ve been raised and redeemed
You’ve lost all your sting
To the victor of the battle
High noon in the valley of the shadow
Let the people rejoice
Let the heavens resound
Let the name of Jesus, who sought us
And freed us forever ring out
All praise to the fighter of the night
Who rides on the light
Whose gun is the grace of the God of the sky
High noon in the valley of the shadow
When the shadows were shot through with light
When the mouth of the tomb
Shouted, “Glory, the Groom is alive”
So long, you wages of sin
I said go on, don’t you come back again
I’ve been raised and redeemed
All praise to the king
The victor of the battle
High noon in the valley
In the valley of the shadow

  3. The part that caught my heart was
“Now the demons, they danced in the darkness..At the war that they thought they had won…But then…The stone rolled away…on the greatest of days…When the shadows were shot through with light”. God’s truth always shines brightest in my life, from unexpected places, just when the demons are dancing their wildest.

Tracey, thanks for letting God use you today as my “unexpected place”…I needed His truth. Lisa

    • Hey Lisa, Great to have you with us. It’s an honor to have you reading along. . .We all need His Truth 🙂 It was so good having your family here with us and you and John, deeply ministered to me through your love, ease of “guesting” and just having you present in our home. Love you sweet Bella too! Your children are so well-behaved and a pleasure. Much love always! We will live expected the “shadows to be shot though with light!” twe
