The Chosen Ones. . .

Circle of Friends, Rarity: Point of Grace

The Four Loves Quote
“In friendship…we think we have chosen our peers. In reality a few years’ difference in the dates of our births, a few more miles between certain houses, the choice of one university instead of another…the accident of a topic being raised or not raised at a first meeting–any of these chances might have kept us apart. But, for a Christian, there are, strictly speaking no chances. A secret master of ceremonies has been at work. Christ, who said to the disciples, “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you,” can truly say to every group of Christian friends, “Ye have not chosen one another but I have chosen you for one another.” The friendship is not a reward for our discriminating and good taste in finding one another out. It is the instrument by which God reveals to each of us the beauties of others.”
― C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves

Just love C.S. Lewis and would be so amazing to be a little birdie on his shoulder as he met with his “inklings” group or peeked into his friendship with Tolkien. Who are “your chosen ones?”

Dearest Father, Thank you for Your chosen ones for me. You are the greatest master of ceremonies in my life. I praise you too for the friendships for my husband and girls that lift them and call them into being more of Your Own. Friendship is truly a God-given gift. Friendship is an answer to prayer. It is my friends that call me to be more of who I could be in Christ. I am forever yours, forever grateful and forever seeking. Amen

    • Dear Kris Ann, Thank you. It is my blessing as God brings beauty and goodness to share it! And it keeps me “sane” to focus on the Lord and others! In His Love and mine, I am sooo very grateful for your friendship! XO twe
