Where Do You Want To Go?

Pathway of Books

I cannot find a credit for this image :(. The credit is fuzzy, at top left corner 🙂 Found on Pinterest but there is no trail to follow.

Good Morning! Through the pages of a book you can go anywhere! Walk with me. . I am currently visiting Hundred Ache Words. . .100acre
My sister, Lu, is reading Winnie the Pooh to me. The wonder and characters are so “us” in the hue of our humanity and humor!

Chapter One, Book One, on story telling. . .Favorite quote. . .“I do remember,” he said, (Christopher Robin) “only Pooh doesn’t very well, so that’s why he likes having it told to him again. Because then it’s a real story and not just a remembering.”

Bible stories are real story’s worth telling again and again and not just a remembering. twe

Chapter Two, Pooh stuck in Rabbit’s front door with his round tummy has to wait it out to get thin again with no honey, with a tear rolling down his cheek he says, “Then would you read a Sustaining Book, such as would help and comfort a Wedged Bear in Great Tightness?”

Wedged in a great tightness, our God gives great sustenance and comfort in His Book to us. twe

Chapter Three, Pooh in circling a tree, tracking something, converses with Piglet. “Tracking what?” said Piglet, coming closer. “That just what I ask myself. I ask myself, “What?” “What do you think you’ll answer?” “I shall have to wait until I catch up with it,” said Winnie-the-Pooh.

Our selves linger behind the leadings of the Holy Spirit, and answers of Truth, must wait until we can catch up with it. twe

Chapter Four, Pooh in greeting Eeyore, “And how are you?” said Winnie-the-Pooh. Eeyore shook his head from side to side. “Not very how,” he said. “I don’t seem to have felt at all how for a long time.” “Dear, dear,” said Pooh, “I’m sorry about that. Let’s have a look at you.”

We often go long times without feeling at all “how” in our souls. If only a friend would offer compassion and really look at the “real” us, they might help us discover what is missing.

  1. Eeyore here! Thank you, Tracey and Sister Lu. Today’s posting brings back lots of sweet memories and good food for thought. I hope the weather is wonderful where you two are! Hugs from Virginia.
