Ever Run Into A Wall You Did Not Like? Well, You Will Like This One!

I asked Rebecca three questions:

Tell me:

Where did the idea come from?
My idea came from the girls friend’s notes on your door frames.

How does it speak life?
A couple of years ago, I started it and I just keep adding to it. It speaks life – – in that this is our life and what is important to us. Our kids artwork, pics of friends. Kids come to my house and stand there in amazement that we are so proud of this, it is on our kitchen wall. My kids feel esteemed. That makes me happy.

If you could do anything different with it’s creation, what would it be?
It would be to do my whole kitchen. Thinking I just might! I never look at that wall without smiling. Did you notice the top JOY banner? I nailed it up there to keep it in place.

Rebecca, I LOVE this! It oozes celebration! Have a party for your “brag wall” just for your family πŸ˜‰

I encourage/challenge you:

Find a way to express your family in your house. Something unique that celebrates your family’s interest’s or symbolizes your values? Your Faith? Travels? Music? Hobbies? Dreams? Photos? A Word Wall? Stickie notes of encouragement? Get markers that write on windows? Movie ticket stubs? Airplane tickets? Stamps? Quotes? Bible Verses? What about family recipes? Start with a small bulletin board, or write and wipe, or an old window hung (that way you can move it around, plenty of forgiving room to experiment).

Express your family in a visual way that is eye candy for the heart!

Psalm 34:8
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.

P.S. My “stats” numbers of readers are down and have remained “low” for over a week now, maybe ten days? (Who’s counting, surely not me, in my weakness for people affirmation?!) There is a temptation to get discouraged. I “felt” God smile and “heard” Him say, “Are you kidding? This is perfect. It means you are doing exactly what I ask. Keep on keeping on. Surely you did NOT think MY reward for Kingdom workings is in numbers, DID YOU? You know better than that πŸ˜‰ Look at me NOT your blog stats!” (He really did wink at my silly self!)

  1. Tracey, I used to have a bunch of pictures on my refrigerator, but I had to remove them when we replaced the refrigerator. I wish I would have put them back. I love this wall. It speaks life, love, family, joy, etc. I might have to start a new one with my older children capturing their moments in a new season. Jesus was never concerned with numbers. Thank you for your transparency with your life. You are a blessing to more than you know. I love you!

    • Heu Kris Ann, I use to put them on my frig too. I wish I had made a mural out of them. You know you can buy think colored paper at teacher supply stores and murals could be made from them. Then roll them up and keep for latter display too πŸ™‚ love, twe
