I HATE the dark! (Unless, it’s candle lit, unless it’s watching shooting stars at the beach, unless there is a small nightlight of a lamp) Some of you may remember I am afraid of the dark. My hands have slipped off the keys into a dark abyss :(.
Just a thought, I put conditions on my darkness, I’m afraid unless. . . . I don’t put conditions on the daylight: I won’t get up unless the sun shines! I won’t run errands unless it’s a cloudless day. I won’t work in my garden unless there is a breeze.
God created both night and day and said they were good. I’m living out of fear in the night, and claiming Truth in the daylight. I’m convicted, God and I have some work to do.
God in His mercy and extravagant grace, struck a match into my darkness: the visit of a friend yesterday, joy on a daughter’s face, ice water in the middle of the night, and this song by Josh Wilson (Matthew West helped him finish it!!!). If you really want a treat, at the ends, click the link bottom left and see him sing it live on KLove :} :
You have your own darkness. Either you are in it, traveling out of it or heading into a place of “one million why you should not even try” “shadows here feeding on your fears”. . .
“Don’t under estimate the God you follow”. . . “Don’t lose heart”. . . “Keep on pushing back the dark!!!”
