“Need” in Whispers

Enter with me where time and place stand still. Beyond me and my circumstance, His Hand reaches through the veil that hides the reality of His Kingdom, Thy will be done. My family and close friends witnessed the heavenly host fight for me through the song of Plumb.

Close friends, Frank and Gaye gifted us with tickets to the KLOVE Christmas concert. Plumb filled the church with her voice to bless us with Christmas carols and her song, “Need You Now” (I’ve featured on another post). I’m gonna tell you I bawled like a baby. It touches every fiber of my faith. There are no words to express the depth of where my suffering meets her song journey. As she stood side stage, I could see her silhouette out of the corner of my eye. I had closed my eyes to Worship names into the Chris August song. I heard the angelic rustle of satin closing in… And I felt her soft cheek brush my tear-glazed cheek, her beautiful curls tumble over my flat unstyled hair. (lol) My eyes fluttered open to the wonder of Plumb whispering in my ear. (She gifted me with a glory of hope token, you will have to read my book for this revelation). Truth tickled joy alive as she…Prayed something like this,”Lord, I don’t know what this precious sister is going through, but I ask that you put your arms around her. Embrace her circumstance so she knows more of your love. Oh Father, be here for her so this will be her best Christmas ever. Amen.” She kissed my forehead, and we locked moist eyes. I felt time stop and Plumb saw into my story. Not being able to speak or move, I put all I had in gratitude and love in my eye language back to her. My hand so wanted to reach out of my heart to touch her. The moment felt so ethereal. “I love you,” she said with the authority of His Kingdom. I heard the love of Jesus telling me, through her voice, “I will bless the sacrifice of your suffering far and beyond your expectations” (Eph. 3:20).  I squeezed my face to emulate a hug. She touched my head and was gone as quickly as she came.

I had to work hard to get my composure back from such a significant blessing.

How do you thank someone for stopping time in the face of minute and hour hands that threaten to press the life out of me. Time is not the reality that govern our days and nights. Love governs His Kingdom. God’s love comes down at Christmas (Point of Grace), to remind us it is timeless, extending into eternity.

Merry Christmas Plumb, I love you too. Thank you for singing Jesus into my heart.

When Heaven Touches Earth

I had the blessing of accepting a gift for two, to a local Christian concert.Bucky and I were delighted beyond lyrics!!! Here are a few pictures we took and a text I sent my children.

“I got kissed by the lead singer,  Joel in For King and Country, “Beautiful Lady”. Joel whispered to me, “beautiful lady” I felt nothing but resembled beauty, but it is a reminder of the reflection of Christ in me. (tears)

I will never wash my right cheek again!!  I will share my right cheek with you 🙂
If you ever get opportunity to see King and Country, don’t miss it!!
The two sons, Joel and Luke, endearing Australian accents.

You know how when young men go into battle, they raise their arms with the battle cry, For King and Country? That is how they came up with name! How cool is that?

Never seen that kind of God energy brought into audience. I feel the reality of His Kingdom most significantly at a Christian concert. The music, lyrics, energy of The Holy Spirit bring heaven to earth for me. I feel so blessed.

Your dad looked up their Mantra. It follows:

“The power of music can impact our mood, emotions, our day. But when you merge the strength of music with the heart, hope and passion of the Gospel… it has the ultimate power not only to change someone’s day, but to impact them for eternity. This is why we write music and sing songs – we hope that people will be moved, encouraged and stirred to live a life for Someone greater than themselves.” King and Country

There is a secret that came after that kiss that sealed the anointing, but you will have to wait till the last chapter of my book, if I ever get it published. If there is one lesson I have learned in this place, things are not as they appear. I am not as I appear. I am firey, full of wonder and so ready for the best of life!!!I have to say the thing I was going to leave unsaid. In desperate situations, we want to call OUT a whole legion to battle for us!!! I think about the movie, Prince Caspian, in the epic battle scene. We want/we need to their is an army fighting for our victory. No matter the current circumstances, we feel too small, too ill-equipped for our fight. We may not like how “things” look for us. But don’t fall for the seen!!! The heavenlies are duking it out for you. Rest assured victory is only the way!!!  I am working my faith to accept God definition of victory.

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14

For King & Country’s Latest Album: Dedicated to Frank & Gaye

“We need deliberately to call to mind the joys of our journey. Perhaps we should try to write down the blessings of one day.  We might begin; we could never end; there are not pens or paper enough in all the world.” — George A. Buttrick  (http://www.heartlight.org)

“The Hurt and The Healer” by MercyMe

The question that is never far away
But healing doesn’t come from the explained
*Jesus, please don’t let this go in vain
You’re all I have, all that remains

*So here I am, what’s left of me
*When glory meets my suffering

*I’m alive
*Even though a part of me has died
You take my heart and breathe it back to life
*I fall into your arms open wide
*When the hurt and the healer collide

Sometimes I feel it’s all that I can do
*Pain so deep that I can hardly move
Just keep my eyes completely fixed on You
Lord, take hold and pull me through

So here I am, what’s left of me
When glory meets my suffering

*I’m alive
*Even though a part of me has died
You take my heart and breathe it back to life
*I fall into your arms open wide
*When the hurt and the healer collide

It’s the moment when humanity

Is overcome by majesty

*When grace is ushered in for good
*And all our scars are understood

When mercy takes its rightful place
And all these questions fade away
When out of weakness we must bow
And hear you say “It’s over now”

*I’m alive
*Even though a part of me has died
You take my heart and breathe it back to life
*I fall into your arms open wide
*When the hurt and the healer collide

Jesus, come and break my fear

*Wake my heart and take my tears
Find your glory even here
When the hurt and the healer collide

*I’m alive
*Even though a part of me has died
You take my heart and breathe it back to life
*I fall into your arms open wide
*When the hurt and the healer collide

*I’m alive
*Even though a part of me has died
You take my heart and breathe it back to life
*I fall into your arms open wide
*When the hurt and the healer collide

*I’m alive
*Even though a part of me has died
You take my heart and breathe it back to life
*I fall into your arms open wide
*When the hurt and the healer collide

*As we share our song space the lyrics that pierce my heart.

Thank you all for commenting.  Your following empowers me to stay a hair’s breath ahead of the pain.

Just A Drop Can Change The World

Dedicated to Sean Mccleary…

Imagine the life of a gift; just one dollar can wet His Kingdom with living waters.

Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” John 4:10

He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of livingwater.’” John 7:38

Two Celebrations in One

In Honor to our Megan, Salutatorian, 2014 High School Graduating Class

In 1st grade, Dunham has a tradition to make a time capsule that your parents hold in safe keeping until the weekend of your graduation. You are allowed to choose what goes into the time capsule, for example, stories you wrote, pictures of special memories, old school t-shirts, strings that measured your height in your 1st grade year, journal entries, etc. After the Baccalaureate every student that was there in first grade takes their boxes and opens them up while family watches. It is such a fun time, the students reminisce together about 1st grade memories while families share in the experience/teary for moms.
